Full bracket from the Washington Post.

Nothing like pulling the easy bracket.

Well good for FIFA. I suppose they'll change their ways when the USA and Egypt upset italy and brazil and all the euro footballing snobs get upset.

Gulati mentioned Columbus, Chicago, Cleveland, Nashville, Salt Lake City, Hartford, and DC for the home match games. Please please please Cleveland for the Mexico game.

You know it will be in either Houston or the HDC. It guarantees a full house and big money for USSF. Yes, it'll be a home game for Mexico, but there's a reason why we play Ireland in Boston, Haiti in Miami, and El Salvador in NYC.

maybe I'm naive for believing him but Gulati said Bob Bradley does not want to play Mexico in Florida, Texas, or California.

It'd be great to have the sequel to the Cold War in the Buckeye state. It has been done before, with prtty good results if I recall correctly...

Seattle seems good to me but was not mentioned.

Fact is I'm going no matter where it is.

Though I'd be able to make the 90 minute drive to Hartford to see the game, as a native Connecticutian, I'll be shocked if they play it in New England's armpit. Hartford sucks. If they want the game in CT, it should be at the Yale Bowl in New Haven. In general I hope they do play it in a cold weather city. I can't see El Tri being fired up to play in 30 degree weather.

It only seems fair. They always make us play them in that high-altitude smog infested crapola of an abbatoir, we should give them "the best" of a good old USA winter. Cleveland, Buffalo, Blaine, MN -- these all sound good to me.

    HEX!

I haven't been up on this, anyone know when we're to find out the venues for our home games? Particularly these two...

    Wed, Feb 11th against Mexico

    Wed, April 1st against T&T

They'd both make for mighty fine midweek hookie jaunts to Seattle next semester.

    Seattle!!!

They have not played a qualifier there as far as I remember and it has proven to be a GREAT venue. We sold out the Mexico - China match - and that was a friendly.

This match would be HUGE and a great opportunity to see if Seattle can also be one of those stadiums that give the US team a Home feel.

The match would sell out instantly. Hell - even Canada - Brazil came close to selling out, and prime tickets were $150. I dont know that there was a ticket for less than $50.

    Bring it to Seattle!
