Don, thought you would have already posted this thread. Tsk tsk...

Anyhow, this is going to be a tough match any way you look at it. Liverpool has the best defensive record in the prem (Fulham is second though) and Fulham can't seem to buy a result on the road, but our little man up front is on a hot streak along with a resurgent Dempsey.

I am hoping for a point, but likely expecting zero in return.

COYW's give me a result to rub in the scouser's faces.

I did my best to wait, Kev.

I'm seeing the same lineup for us, and the same score, only with Liverpool coming out on top.

Gerrard will miss the match, and I don't know whether or not Torres is up to full fitness, but Liverpool still have enough to cause us trouble. Javier Mascherano made us his bitch last season, and Dirk Kuyt is -- for my money -- the most dangerous attacking option not named Robihno or Zaki.

Andy gets one, the defense is stalwart, the Aussie shines, but Liverpool is going to win it all this year, and they won't drop points to us at Anfield.

It would be great to take a point from this match, but I'll be happy as long as the boys have a good showing and can leave with their heads held high, regardless of the outcome.

Wishful thinking - I think it's going to be Chelsea (who actually have the best defensive record, not Liverpool, as well as the most goals scored). GD +28 is a lot better than +13.

That being said, I'm not expecting anything from this match - maybe a 2-0 or 3-1 loss.

We've been good at bursting bubble's of late,
    Newcastle, Spuds and even Arsenal
but this one will be a tougher nut to crack.
    but to a draw,
    Wi'l need to score
and hope are Awsome defence can hold them to 1
Torres and Keane will be chumping at the bit
Lets hope by the end Benetiz will be having a fit

oh, we never beaten Liverpool away
time for another POP sound methinks

While my head says to agree with you guys, my heart is too excited for how fulham has bee playing latley. So, heart says 1-1 draw, with liverpool scoring in the 82' to earn the draw.

What he said....and what BarryP said, and what VB said. I think 1-1 draw. Call me an optimist.

I am wishing for a draw-however it all depends on what mood the scousers are in, they hit form early at home with the Kop behind them and we could be on the end of a kicking!

Fulham have the 4th best defense (behind Chelsea, Liverpool, and ManU), but are tied for the 16th "best" offense. 'Pool are 2nd and 6th respectively.

With Gerrard out and Torres not 100%, we have a chance to get something out of this game.

I'd rather we face two Gerrards than one Mascherano, but I'm liking everyone's optimism.

Still no word on TV coverage?

TV Coverage: Setanta Sports coverage begins at 9:30AM with kick off scheduled at 10:00AM.

Can't wait for the match this weekend and hope that Fulham continues this run of form. Even with Gerrard and Torres possibly out of the match Liverpool is a strong side that goes much deeper than their starting XI.

I'm hoping Dempsey can come up big against the scousers once again.

    COYW's

PS: Everyone tune in to watch Ball State take on Central Michigan tonight at 7:00 PM on ESPN 2.

I do love the Chippewas! what is a Chippewa? As far as the match against the Scousers, I love how our team is playing and I'm gonna say a 0-0 draw.

Torres was well enough to score for Spain today.

However, Keane may be out. The way he played against us last year, I'd almost rather take my chances with Torres.

I hope someone has the grapefruits in the locker room to think about grabbing all 3 this Saturday. Someone has to beat the Pool at Anfield, why not us? Where is it written that teams not in the Champions League have to accept a whippin' as a way of life there? Stoke pulled out a 0-0 draw there earlier this year, why can't we do better?

Same lineup as last week will work for me, again, Woy, thanks for starting Deuce, and Deuce, thanks for making it worth his time.

Sadly, I will not be watching the game this weekend -- the knuckledraggers from Ann Arbor are due for a Scarlet and Grey beat down and I'm going to a family party that is starting around the time of the kickoff for Fulham. So I will be rooting for the Ws from afar and wearing my FULHAMERICA T-shirt under my OSU sweatshirt

Hope the lads take the same attitude Steve has. Let's face it, the strategy will be to soak up the pressure and hit them on the break or a set piece (time for thunderbolt from Jimmy). To Woy, the fellas will have to run their socks off so he can't hesitate to get some fresh legs on the pitch. A point would be an enormous boost considering the road form so far.

This is interesting. As much as I want Fulham to win and as well as we have been doing against the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and other "top notch" teams, the last thing I want to see is Chelsea going clear. A draw is all that I can hope for, although I think that our boy Dempsey may put on a show. WHo knows?
