I thought online betting sponsorship were going to be outlawed now. Apparently not. SBOTOP is still the main sponsor. Anyway, I'm waiting for the away kit. I don't do well with white either. I like the training jersey designs, but I am not Mongolian and would feel like an impostor walking around with a huge MONGOLIA emblazoned on my chest in a college town where there are some genuine real-life Mongolians.

Does anyone know the full list of players who went to Portugal and how we can watch the preseason game against Forest today? (Other than by paying 45 pounds for a season of Fulham TV.)

I like the MonGOlia logo! I wish they were the main sponsor. And I find the era of the great Khans fascinating. Plus Fulham has their own clan of Khans so it is perfect!

Anyway... this felt like it was just a matter of time after Benda was shipped out on loan yesterday - Fulham's first new signing of the summer! It is backup keeper Benjamin Lecomte. He's got to be an upgrade!

Caught the game on Fox Deportes. Not sure what to think. Fulham controlled the entire match, but it felt like Forest were still at the beach. I'm not sure there is a way to draw any conclusions from this performance, other than that Marco is a better motivator than Nuno. I hope Cuenca is ok. He seemed to be in real pain at the final whistle.

Well we can say that Harry Wilson seems ready to pick up where he left off!

I think the scoreline from this match would have been tighter if Matz Sels had been in net for Forest, but I still appreciate those two Wilson's goals.

I'm checking out the competition tomorrow. Aston Villa is in town taking on our beleaguered MLS side St. Louis City.

Weird highlights from the Al-Ittihad friendly. With goals lining the side of the field I sometimes had a moment where I thought "Don't pass in front of the net like that!!" It also feels like it was in the middle of a golf course. Wilson kept his shooting boots on, but Fulham faced another poor goal keeper, so I'm trying not to read too much into four first half goals.

Just under two weeks to go to kickoff and things have been mighty quiet at Craven Cottage. I went back and took a look at what I said as the summer began:
So on the plus side, Fulham hung on to Tete and upgraded the backup keeper. Bringing Nelson back also still appears a strong possibility. Wilson has been great in pre-season, Josh King has looked good, and even Smith Rowe has done some scoring. Raul also had a great summer for Mexico and got himself a goal against Sheffield Wednesday. I've also been happy with what has happened on the pitch. Bassey put a ball over the back line for Wilson to run onto for a score. Cuenca scored from a corner. Berger delivered a through-ball! These are all elements that were generally missing from Fulham's playbook last season. When looking at the potential for doing more with the existing squad, the signs are positive.

I'm still not thrilled that there hasn't been something done to make some upgrade in the attacking third. It could still happen, but I would have preferred it had been done earlier. Additions are still likely, but for kickoff against Brighton on the 16th, the squad will probably be entirely familiar.

Marco and all the fans want signings early in the window for obvious reasons. The way the Khans manage squad building is beyond frustrating.

But one thought keeps bugging me: in the recent Prem seasons, after each summer of relative transfer inaction, we have done very well in the first half of the season, only to collapse in the home stretch. What does this mean? Is the roster too small from the start and we lose important players late on because of wear and tear? Or is the January window more important than we think and we should prioritize adding new blood then? Or...? I don't know what the answer is. Still, having a couple more able bodies soon won't hurt.

Still stoked for signing a backup keeper!!!!!!!!! When somebody owns 1,045 couches, such as the Khans, it consumes quite a bit of time to search through all of the cushions to find funds for transfers.
