Fulham make the short trip over to Brentford on Sunday. Kickoff will be at 10am EDT on Peacock.

Just a week ago this penultimate match of the season seemed like it would layer on huge stakes to a local rivalry. Now it only has huge stakes for Brentford as Fulham has once again disappointed as the season drew to a close. Fulham had a chance to deliver their greatest Premier League season ever, but instead gave us their worst form of the season with just three points from the last five matches. Now we are left to qualify our disappointment with statements that "it was still a pretty good season" and cling to the hope that Fulham can make Brentford miserable too.

I don't even think Fulham will break their points record at this point. With the dip in form, a growing list of injuries, and the lack of anything to play for, I expect Fulham to remain stuck at 51 points and sink another spot behind Crystal Palace to finish 12th. The only thing I'm really looking forward to with the remaining matches is a chance to see more from Godo and King.

Fulham. After weeks of disappointment, they pull out this performance out of nowhere. Wow! Though, it is sad that it took taking off ERS for us to start clicking. I am not giving up on him. I think he does have what it takes, if he improves his fitness and work rate, and will withhold my judgment until well into the next season.

It was nice to dream of Europe for much of the season, but if I'm to be honest with myself, I have to admit that we have a group of players whose ceiling is probably around 8th in the table if coached by Marco Silva. Maybe a spot higher if we got really lucky. If Marco leaves, we may be looking at a relegation fight if we don't strengthen in the summer. We will likely lose Marco, and among the players Jedi and Willian. Kenny's contract is expiring, but I hope he signs a new one for a couple of years. Nelson is going back to Arsenal, and we finally get to say goodbye to Carlos Vinicus. Tom Cairney's contract is expiring, too, and we'll see if he stays or takes one last payday--won't blame him if he does the latter. Reed may drop a division to play more. Other question marks are Diop and Pereira. It will be a very interesting summer. But first, let's finish on a high and beat City at home.
