Since we were discussing him in the chat this past game. I say we need a new keeper or perhaps give a youngster a chance, neither really inspires much hope for the future.

I'd sell Stek. I'm sure you could find some interest somewhere on the continent. His potential/past reputation alone would suggest some teams would be willing to take a flyer.

As stated in the article, Stockdale is a proven commodity in the Championship, so I'd have no problem going with him as the #1. Then I'd try to get some matches for Neil Etheridge (24) and Marcus Bettinelli (21) to see if either can win the backup gk slot.

In four matches with Crewe (3rd div), Etheridge has got 1 win and 3 losses with 5 goals against, 9 saves and 1 clean sheet. Crewe are giving up 1.25 ga/g in Etheridge's 4 appearances. They're giving up 1.94 ga/g in the other 36 matches. However, he's not the first choice down there for some reason.

Bettinelli is on loan with Accrington (4th div) and is the #1 there. He's got 11 clean sheets in 34 matches for a mid-table side. His ga/g is 1.03 with 36 saves. The team has a ga/g of 2.33 in the 6 matches in which he hasn't featured.

I was wondering about him after seeing some tweets from I think Grimmer and Woodrow earlier about him today. He sounds like a very promising prospect, but I don't think I want him to be the starter for Fulham in Championship just yet. I guess if there were no other veterans keepers that are proven in the Championship level available we might as well stick with Stockdale for a year or two. But for the Prem? Probably best we look elsewhere.

I was suggesting him as a possible option for Stockdale's backup in the Championship. I don't think we're staying up, so I haven't put much thought into that aspect. I like Tim Ruddy of Norwich if we were to stay up and they went down.

At least he didn't hurt his shoulder diving for shots. Yikes.

Well, to be fair, you can't blame Stek for two of them.
