Quite a number of stories that McCormack wants to leave. Sigh.

Not good if true. Not only does he provide the obvious goals, but he's the biggest factor in creating our cutting edge in the final 3rd. Hopefully we can hang onto him someway, somehow.

The "is a professional and has a family" is the most telling phrase to me. That fits, what, 90% of the 29 year olds playing professional soccer, right? So if you read between the lines, something's definitely up.

As a 29 year old in his prime, of course Ross would want to jump to a team that's in one of the automatic promotion spots. I've been impressed with the quotes coming from Joka, Come Feb. 1 and Ross is still here he's going to play hard for this guy. Just can't see Boro putting in an offer we can't refuse.

If Moussa, if Ross, if Burn, if ANYBODY goes in this window, Joka will be right out the door behind him.

Reading any article from over there needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

True, but when there's multiple articles, multiple "sources," and the manager hinted at McCormack thinking of what's best. Well, I am afraid the writing is on the wall...he wants out. And has done this twice before.

Wanting out and letting him go are two different things. Can't blame him for putting in the request, but Ross is a professional enough to realize that we aren't in the position because of the embargo to replace him.

I just know it doesn't really end well when players want out. Yeah, so he returns to training and plays to this summer. But we're not seeing him in a Fulham shirt much longer. Cauley will probably be the only Forward left from this season next year. The amount of turnover in the team and manager position is nutty. Some stability would be nice.

I share your feelings and agree with everything you said Heather. I just can't imagine going the rest of the way with only Cauley & Smith this season. If we do, and we are left scrambling to loan an out of favor forward from somewhere else the battle to stay in this division will be very real or much more real than any of us have been willing to express.

Fulham have already turned down a transfer request, don't think the Rhodes deal will have any affect on whether Ross stays until the summer window.

Hope you're right. But there's an old saying: Money doesn't talk. It screams.
