After the comprehensive victory on Saturday I would think the starting XI will be exactly the same. This should be the toughest group match and Carlos Costly will provide a more diffcult challange for the back four than what they faced on Saturday.

Honduras won their earlier game on a "Costly goal." Man, if ever there was a player with a name for headline writers, that's the guy there.

Who knows what Bradley will do with the lineup. He's got 732 people in the squad, and I know he wants to win the match. I'd like to see what Adu can do playing just behind Altidore or Cooper now. I'd like to see Rogers again, as well as Beckerman. If there's a REAL left back in the house other than Pearce or Bornstein, I'd like to see him too.

    Please, no Casey.

Feilhaber called in for Honduras match

I personally hope we still see Adu up top but I will be glad to see Benny get some more playing time. I also don't believe Ching will sit for this match and that we may see something along these lines:

    Perkins

    Dolo-Goodson-Marshall-Pearce

    Holden-Feilhaber-Beckerman/Pause-Rogers

    Adu/Davies-Ching

It is possible that Davies will be given some rest or Feilhaber was brought in for depth but I think it is more likely that Adu will find himself on the subs bench come Wednesday.

    Lineups for tonight?

I'll be catching this via DVR later tonight. Wonder if we'll see Feilhaber and Jozy?

Beckerman appears to be decent in the MSL, but he looked a wee bit stage frightened against GRENADA!?!?

    And Pause,...........................???

I think Bob wants to see Feilhaber and Adu in there together. He's obviously warming up to the concept of creativeness, if only for the Gold Cup. I'm forced to face facts that Bob will be there next summer, so I hope he keeps building off the revelations of Confed.

I think what we have is a Coach whose bag of tricks was pretty much empty, but he some how found a bit of magic dust at the bottom. Now he's learning how to use it.

    Line-Up:

    -------------------------------- Yonose ----------------------------------

    ----- Dolo-mite ------- Conrad ------ Parkhurst ------- Pearce ------

    ------ Holden ---------- Feilhaber ----- Adu ---------- Rogers --------

    ------------- Ching/Cooper ---------------------- Davies --------------

    Final: USA 5 - 1 Honduras

I thought Beckerman was one of the better players out there against Grenada, but I hadn't had anything to drink, so ... .

I like your thinking Christian but Bob played two defensive midfielders against Grenada so I just can't fathom an Adu-Feilhaber pairing in the center of the park.

    --------Ching----------------Davies

I can. Didnt think Beckerman was any better defensively than Benny. And fact is, if Adu wants to do anything other than ride the pine in 2010 (provided we qualify), he needs to show he can support on D, right? Here's a chance for him.

Maybe WB found a bit of Bob's "magic dust" before he viewed the match?!?

I watched the Grenada match on fast forward only stopping for goals and their immediate run-up (blasphemy, I know). However, this match intrigues me far more, and if only Palacios and that other Honduran dude were playing tonight, then I'd be pumped.

Honduras can score. The back four and the defensive mid have got to be locked in.

Off-topic, how does Wigan have the Honduran player market cornered like Randolph and Mortimer?

I have no facts [restrain yourself, 'fog] but I would assume that somebody with Wigan connections lives in Honduras and is charged with scouting their league.

honestly, i'm watching the copa libertadores final instead.

and a water main underneath a goal just burst, flooding the left post. but they're playing anyway.

    wow.
