    CONCERNS MOUNT FOR USMNT

Michael Bradley has suffered a muscle strain and will miss Roma's next match against Inter.

Edgar Castillo has suffered a broken foot.

Dempsey and Boca have not sorted out their club situations.

I fear for the US given the injuries and lack of competitive games that key players have experienced. And Jamaica has some serious offensive weapons in Cummings, Richards, and Mattocks. Here is Jamaica mon's roster:

Nonetheless, I have my tickets and am counting down the days.

Rangers said on Sky yesterday that Boca was committed to staying on with the club this year. Given his age, I can see it making more sense to stay put and finish out his int'l years getting them back up to the SPL than trying to land with a new club and compete for regular playing time. Unless he were to make his US/MLS return now (assuming he'd even want to go that route).

Boca loaned to Racing Sandander for a year, but saw him interviewed and it sounded like the club wanted him to go and come back next year to finish the job of getting back to the first division.

I'm pumped to go to this game. My first USA game.

CleMo - have you seen the details for the tailgate? Donated food trucks and kegs.

I'd like to go to the practice on Sunday, but my season kicks off at the same time.

Thanks for posting this Jack. This all sounds great. A lot better than the last time the Crew hosted a WC qualifyier. I was at the match, as was AndyPalmer (I miss him on these boards), and the Crew got some much deserved heat from the fans after the job they did. I had little doubt they would up their game though because they took the criticism to heart, were apologetic, etc.

The Jumbotron sounds great. It should be a great tailgating atmosphere, and I imagine the Jamaican fans will only add to the festivities.

Sadly there is no way I can make it down in time to tailgate, and the people I'm going with want to go straight into the stadium to see if we can see some of the players warm up. Our 12 year olds would rather see the players than drink beer - I guess that's a good thing, but I dont know maybe my priorities are messed up. Boys getting to see their soccer heros, drinking beer - it's a close call.

Come On you red, white and blue

What on earth did Eric Lichaj do to Klinsmann. EJ, Wondo, or Cooper should've been called in before Boyd. This is a WC qualifier, not time to rebuild the confidence of the failed olympic players. I thought Orozco was injured?

I actually don't drink at all, which usually leaves me in the minority. I'm glad the kids are getting to see their heroes.

In Boyd's defense, he's been on fire since the season started - scoring multiple goals in the Europa League and league matches for Rapid Vienna. I bet he has 6 or 7 total goals thus far.

Mo, turning down free beer to be a good parent? For shame...

He may be a fair player in the MLS, but he's not of international quality. I'm sure he'd be fine for CONCACAF, but JK shouldn't be capping any player who he KNOWS isn't good enough to go to Brazil. I'm dumbfounded.
