Wednesday afternoon Fulham hosts the Hatters of Luton Town. This is the matchup that followers of this forum have been waiting for. Hatter Don's two favorite teams facing off in the same league. Don has been very clear that his loyalties are with Fulham, but this is still a "When Worlds Collide" moment.

After a slow start Luton Town have steadied themselves and sit at 16th place 5 points behind Fulham. Luton are coming off their biggest win of the year, a 3-0 victory over Bristol City.

Meanwhile, Fulham are coming off their worst showing of the year. Luton will be looking to heap on more misery, but my hope is that Parker gets his head on straight and figures out how to get Fulham going in the right direction again.

The game will only be available on FFCTV.

Oh to be a fly on the wall while HD watches/listens to this one...

I hope Fulham find their shooting boots before the match.

Fulham all the way for this little duck. Scottie had better hope for three points today. They're managers out there looking for a gig.

A more traditional lineup, but a big change in goal - Rodak gets the start! Bobby Reid gets a spot in the midfield over the likes of Arter or Johansen

    Rodak
    Odoi, Mawson, Ream, Bryan
    Reid, Reed, Cairney
    Knockaert, Mitrovic, Cavaleiro

Subs: Bettinelli, McDonald, Johansen, Le Marchand, Onomah, Sessegnon, Kamara

A win is a win is a win. Now 4 points from the top in 7th. If we can win at Middlesbrough on Saturday, and there's a winner between Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday, we're back in the top 6.

    Highlights via Luton Town:

Yes, a win is a win but... what these highlights do not show is Fulham doing a really terrible job of playing up from the back. If Luton were a slightly better team (sorry Don) they probably could have won this one 4-3. Odoi and Ream both turned the ball over deep in Fulham's half on multiple occasions. The back line under Rodak did not seem any better when trying to move the ball up field. This is a huge problem that needs to be fixed. The good news is that I think it is a tactical problem so if the minds at Fulham aren't stubborn it should be a relatively easy fix.

On the plus side, again, I have to call out Bobby Reid. I don't know how he didn't score since he had two fantastic opportunities in front of the net, but that goal is coming. He got an assist and seems to work well with Mitrovic. Overall everyone up front was working together much better against Luton than what we saw at Stoke. A hat trick for Mitro against the Hatters was great to see, plus Fulham needed all three of those goals.

The Big Man was unleashed! Let’s hope: a) he goes on a scoring binge and b) we get our defending sorted out...soon.

It's good to see the possession advantage result in goals this week.
