Ream got mentioned by Joel Soria at NBC Sports in his roundup of US players working abroad. Unfortunately, Joel apparently can't read a score line: View attachment 342
Thanks, I'm a longtime fan and for some reason it never occurred to me to see if there were any Fulham fan groups in the US. I tell my wife I'm not crazy, just committed. She says it's the same thing.

I grew up in Columbus and, despite living in California for a long time, I started following the Crew from afar when MLS started in the mid-90s. When I got a good enough Internet connection to truly follow English football, Brian McBride was at Fulham and it was the Great Escape year. That decided it for me.

Danny Murphy running clear to nail that header. Magic. Dempsey and McBride and Bocanegra were what first brought Fulham to my attention. Then I researched the history of Craven Cottage and it just struck a chord with me.

Hopefully relegation is not a concern this season, and promotion will be confirmed well before the end of the season.

Somewhere on this site is the story of how FulhamUSA became a thang. AmericanMike and ChicagoTom started it all. It goes all the way back to the days when we were sharing QPR's ground, before McGod, before Charlie Blackmouth, and even maybe before Eddie Lewis.

    Welcome aboard, by the way.

I should add that if your wife wants to have you committed, we're here to assure her that you're merely crazy. :)

Does your wife know the story of Henry VIII's love nest, the Craven Cottage, i.e. that building behind the upper right corner flag? Sure beats playing in Big Corporation Stadium.

Yes, the history is what got me hooked. Anne Boleyn's hunting grounds, and the Cottage where Edward Bulwer-Lytton lived at one time (he wrote the immortal opening words "It was a dark and stormy night..." in his novel Paul Clifford).

I love a club with a good story which is why I also follow Eibar in La Liga.

I have traveled many places around the world, but somehow I have never stopped over in London. If I ever do, you can bet I will be trying to schedule my trip to coincide with a Fulham home match.
