    Hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum. I need your help! I found this great coat/jacket thrifting. Can anyone establish what year this would have been from with the Nike sponsor and LG as a sponsor. Is this a merch jacket or a player jacket?

    Thanks for your help!
    Marc

First off, welcome Marc! That is a sweet jacket. Just out of curiosity, what city did you find it in? I always think of the Great Escape 07-08’ when LG was the sponsor (thought they sponsored for several years) Strangely enough if you go to the bottom of the threads on the front page of the forum, click on ‘Easy Match Tomorrow’ and you’ll see what looks like the jacket on Roy’s Assistant (name escaping me) at the beginning of the video Nevzter posted. Great find!!

Hey Joe, I'm actually from QLD Australia. Trying to find a fulham forum to get some information. Yes in that video it looks similar, doesn't have the grey trim in places though. I wonder if this was a player jacket or merch.

My initial guess would be that it has to be standard merch, but then it got me thinking. What do players do with the countless free clothing items they get from clubs? I assume they donate most of it. What size is the jacket? Nike tends to run a little small for its size, so for a player (especially the one I’m about to mention) the coat would need to be XL or even XXL. The one pearl in a thousand oysters would be if it turned out to be Mark Schwartzer’s. He was the GK the year Fulham went to the Europa Final, and LG was still the sponsor. You might want to post on FriendsofFulham also. That’s where the local supporters are, and someone might even own that jacket.

Wikipedia shows Nike and LG were involved from the 07/08 season through 09/10.

    It's a L, but I think it's more like an XL

On the neck label it has a name in red marker, looks like durie, or mudie or something similar. Any ideas if it could be a player jacket?

At that size, highly doubt it’s a player’s (Nike L is quite small). Did you post on Friends of Fulham? Most on there live in and around London and have spent time in the club shop. Pure guess is that it was either A) Swartzer fan that followed him to Fulham B) A club supporter that over the years found the jacket had ‘shrunk’.

Hey Joe, I'm 6 foot 4 and normally wear a large. This definitely feels like an XL.
