Undefeated in the league away from home, but mediocre at Craven Cottage. It will be a great atmosphere and let's hope our fickle fans are in full voice for 90 minutes. Time to get October off to a good start with 3 points v the Hahas. COYW!!

This is an early Saturday match. Hmmmmm, I wonder if it's televised.

@nevzter - That seems more like a decade ago.

We've owned these guys in recent seasons...which means exactly squat this season. I just want us to perform like we're capable, like we did in August and Wednesday night at the City Ground. If we do that, the results should take care of themselves, starting with this perpetually underachieving bunch of hoops from Loftus Road. Hope Ream gets another start, and that some of these really good scoring chances we've been creating start going in with more regularity.

I feel ya. BW...looking at the team sheet, the premiership / european club and the joys of watching Fulham on tv pretty much every weekend - cue the theme music to "All in the Family"

Coffee made, go to the Chat to see if anyone is there yet (for the usual 7 am pst start)...and we already played? and lost? Not the best way to start a weekend.

EDIT: We missed 2 penalties? WTF???

SteveFakeBlood and I were the only ones in it for the first half and part of the second. I had to leave just after the start of the second half, don't know how long he stayed in it. Probably would have considered slitting a wrist if I had.

I knew we had an early game, but somehow I forgot on Saturday. Got back from the gym this morning and I noticed my phone had an alert that Tim Ream scored. NUTS! I missed it. Sadly I got the audio up just in time to hear the horrible finish.

I didn't think that we'd miss McCormack and Dembele that much, but it really showed today that we do. Two missed PKs?! And why isn't Martin taking the first one. Isn't his job supposed to be putting the ball in the net? And why isn't he scoring in any other situation? Ugh. We've got a much better team than last year. If we could get ourselves a lead, we're good enough to win most games. Sadly, we haven't played a single minute in league play with a lead since before the international break in August. Since the break we've only given up two goals in the first half, but we can't keep people out of the net forever. The guys up front have got to start scoring and scoring early.

Sorry I missed it. Both HatterMom and I had a tough night's sleep and we made up for it in the morning.

Here's my latest rant. prepare to ignore it like Joka will:

Go with two up front. Martin works best when he has someone to play off, and Woodrow is our most creative attacker.

Start every match remaining in October with Martin and Woodrow up front. Make the 4-2-3-1 into a 4-3-1-2 with Cairney/Tunnicliffe as the 1. We might score some damn goals that way.

I agree with Hatter that trying something different with Martin might be a good move, but he missed another clear shot on goal in this one. These are not spectacular shots he missing. He's missing ones that we would expect any player on the field to convert. Even if we put him in a better situation he hasn't impressed with the chances he's had.
