This is not a good sign, despite our encouraging start. Jokanovic strikes me as a man who would walk before putting up with BS like this...and I sincerely hope I'm wrong. James Wilson going to Derby County instead of US won't help this situation. I know he took the job knowing what the deal was, but that doesn't mean he can't change his mind. http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...ews/fulham-boss-blames-lack-signings-11777918 http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-F...ames-Wilson-to-join-Derby-County-on-loan.aspx

Aside from some oblique references over the last few weeks, I've seen nothing concrete indicating that we were interested in Wilson or that Joka wanted him and the club didn't.

Thanks to Twitter, the club gets trashed every time somebody signs with somebody else.

I don't think it's the club that get thrashed, but a choice few are certainly targets for some anger...

    Cheers,

Fulham has signed 30 year-old Iceland International Ragnar Sigurdsson. He plays center back (most recently for FC Krasnodar in the Russian Premier League) but is most famous for the goal he scored against England in the Euro Cup:

There's the cb signing Joka was complaining about needing. Maybe we can put the "he'll leave us" crap to rest now. Looks like a good signing as well.

Rich, over at Craven Cottage Newsround, had a good piece about this bruhaha. Fans were quick to shit all over Kline, but how many of this offseason's signings would you like to give back? I'd say whatever we're doing is working pretty well. From what he said, it sounded like Joka disagreed about which positions were taking priority as the window comes to a close. So if he felt he needed to state it publicly to get his cb, big deal.

Would still like to see depth in midfield, winger and striker added. Additionally, I wouldn't mind seeing Cauley go out on loan (assuming we have enough strikers) so he can get regular playing time. I think the kid probably has the goods but he needs regular pt to show just what he can do. I don't think we can give him that if we're chasing promotion...too risky.

Maybe it was a tear in the space-time continuum caused by a misaligned warp field that caused Get West London to publish an article from the future, but Fulham has indeed signed midfielder Neeskens Kebano from KRC Genk. http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2016/august/26/kebano-joins

This clip is from two years ago with Charleroi, but this is probably my favorite highlight that I found for him. It is the first goal from this clip. He scores less spectacularly later on with another header.

And here are some highlights from last year with Genk:

Fulham has signed 25 year-old Norwegian international midfielder Stefan Johansen from Celtic. http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2016/august/26/johansen-joins

Here's some highlights. I chose this one because it had the best music.

The music in this one is terrible, but you should watch the give-in-go that is the first highlight around 25 seconds in.

So if we get a striker on the roster before the window closes I fully expect to hear this from Jokanovic:

He wasn't even making the bench the last couple of league matches. Probably best for all parties. As you said, no surprise at all.

At least it is a free move. Nothing lost if it doesn't work.

Agreed on the business side of it, but from a dressing room perspective, this has a Berbatov feel to it.

    In the meantime...http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2016/august/31/piazon-joins-on-loan.

And, free of charge, an excerpt from young Lucas' wikipedia page:

    Style of play[edit]

A tactical player, he is known for his flair, passing, powerful shooting, free-kicks, penalty kicks, reading of the game and clinical finishing. Piazon commented on his playing style: "I'd say my playing style is different from typical Brazilian forwards. When you think about these, you think about dribbles and flashy moves. My football is simpler and more direct. It's more like a midfielder playing up front. I like to pass quickly. I don't hog the ball and I don't tend to run with it."[53]

The media have often drawn comparisons between Piazon and Brazilian playmaker Kaká, as the pair possess similar attributes and natural technical finesse. Piazon also somewhat resembles Kaká. However, Piazon has rejected comparisons saying: "I don't think [we are similar]", Piazon says of Kaká. "My style and his style are different because I am a winger, or a second striker, and he is a central midfielder. He went on saying: "I don't think the comparison is because of our style. I think it is because we both played at São Paulo and maybe we can look similar on the pitch sometimes."[54][55]

    Loan Deal For Martin
    Wednesday 31 August 2016 22:58

The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Chris Martin from Derby County on a season long loan.

The 27-year-old striker was born in Suffolk but is a full Scotland international, eligible because of his father. He joined Norwich City’s academy at a young age and made his debut for the first team a few months after his 18th birthday.

He quickly impressed after breaking into the Canaries’ senior side, scoring the winner on his third appearance, before netting in four consecutive Championship matches.

Martin scored 13 goals when he spent the 2008/09 season on loan at Luton Town, including at Wembley as they beat Scunthorpe United 3-2 in the Football League Trophy Final.

He returned to Norwich the following campaign, and was on target 23 times in 48 appearances as they won the League One title.

Further loan spells with Crystal Palace, Swindon Town and Derby followed, before he joined the Rams permanently in the summer of 2013. He departed Norwich having scored 34 goals in 117 outings.

His first season as a permanent Derby player was a prolific one, as he found the net 25 times as they reached the Championship Play-Off Final, where a late Bobby Zamora goal condemned them to defeat by Queens Park Rangers. Four days later he was handed his Scotland debut in a 2-2 draw with Nigeria at Craven Cottage.

Martin was also a regular scorer in the subsequent two seasons, taking his Derby County tally to 61 goals in 148 outings.

He scored his first Scotland goal in qualifying for the 2016 European Championship, and he is currently with the squad ahead of their World Cup Qualifier against Malta.

This clip of Piazon feels appropriate since it also includes Stearman playing "defense".

So, we pretty much signed everybody out of a gig except for Hope Solo.
