SIDENOTE: If you have a problem with abusive destruction of earbuds, yet hate paying over $20 for a decent set, I suggest looking at
    GUMY {whatever that means} JVC-Kenwood HA-F160.
I bought at Dollar General for $8, their 'high end', and more than I would pay at Walmart for the equivalent.
They're the best I've had since destroying the ones I got with my iPod Touch many years ago. They sound really good to me {considering I'm 73} and really fit well in my ear, which is apparently the profile meant by '160' desig.
Labeled 'bass boost' but I dont know what that means in real life since they sounded quite balanced to me, judging from the 'sibilance' from singing and guitar chording coming thru quite well. As I say, I'm 73, YMMV.

    - Resulted in much spousal friction since I couldnt resist playing through my Youtube mix.

"Are you listening to me?!" - "What?" - "Oh, just NEVER MIND!"

Stumbled on a documentary about the 40th Anniversary of the great band Kansas, really well done. Interesting that the iconic hit Dust in the Wind started out as just a finger exercise on the guitar:

it's really a very good exercise. I use it all the time -- while flat-picking -- but I've never been even remotely interested in performing it.

You know that just whets the appetite, HD. Good stuff. And since it's flooding in my back yard, it's flooding down in Texas too.

No significance here... except since Fulham's season seems headed for a swirly, I need to go to my happy place.

That's awesome, astroevan. I'm showing that clip to my wee ones who are knee-deep in piano lessons.

And speaking of "knee deep" - aside from Fulham who is elbow deep in their own mess, this jam:

Seeing the table today and Preston North End sits 10th and Fulham occupies 21st - I thought of this (even though its about Australia):

Happy to say my cousin Erin is running her first Boston Marathon today. Difficult to get through this entire video with a dry eye.

Going to HS in the 80's in the Midwest, Prince was beyond a star. A true icon with the ability to play any genre. A musician's musician with the ability to play any instrument, always thought he was an underrated guitarist. He absolutely shreds the guitar solo of this great Beatles cover he did w/Tom Petty & Jeff Lynne.

Gotta admit that I wasn't a huge fan.. other than the typical musical lover's appreciation of 'Purple Rain' I thought he leant himself too much toward the showman in his own personna. Did get his efforts to change the artists' ownership of the art produced. What I missed was his outstanding picking skills.
And YET.. when I heard he died I flashed on Jimi Hendrix.

Here's a great glimpse into The Artist's side of Prince.
‘Defying description': ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons on Prince the ‘sensational’ guitarist

This video, hard on the eyes as it is , makes the point!

    - Ah, well... like one wag said: His final contribution is he got Trump off the tv at least one day.
