Got the assist on Sunderland's consolation goal in their League Cup beatdown by Citeh 1-4. It was his first action with the club.

My question is... how did he play on the whole? It looked like they had him at right back.

Yedlin gets his first league action today at home v. West Ham. He's starting. I'll watch and give a little review.

He played the whole 90+ and didn't look out of place. He wasn't involved in any of the four goals. His defense was good; if I have a problem, it's that they did all their attacking up the left wing. I think they miss a resource if they don't use him to attack up the right side.

Looking forward to seeing Yedlin play tomorrow, but watching the Spurs v. West Ham today reminded me of the fact that he was transferred to the one team where he's not going to get a chance to play. Walker is a better defender, a better attacker, is just as young, and is -- and this is hard to believe -- even faster than Yedlin. I have no idea who at WHL okayed the purchase, but it was a joke. I think DeAndre can play in the Prem, but I don't ever seeing him hold down a starting position with the club who currently owns his rights.

Oh, by the way ... this is the best Spurs team I've seen in perhaps 20 years.
