So, does this mean that Arsenal supporters are afraid to wear their kit because it makes them look like a travel agent? I think that, by this time, everyone knows that kits are sponsored. Gone are the days when I was tapped on the shoulder and asked, "Excuse me, Mr. McBride, but where in England is Pipex?"

As little time as I have for Florida, I'm much happier with the tourism come-on; especially if the alternative was another on-line betting site.

That's true in the soccer world, but I don't think it's a given elsewhere. If I walk around with a big "VisitFlorida" logo, people are going to ask me when I went to Florida (even if they're just giving me crap about it). People know FlyEmirates is a brand. I'm not sure they'll automatically know what VisitFlorida is, other than a statement.

I think the Visit Florida seems a bit strange to folks from the States, but at the very least, I think its going to lend itself to some funny commentary through the year. Ever see the Florida Man twitter handle? https://twitter.com/_floridaman

I'm hoping to buy this kit and snag a piece of history, as I plan to cover this jersey with Champagne and the Champagne of beers, sometime in May of next year! C'mon you whites, to Florida!

Wikipedia seems to think it's official - with last year's away jersey and orange shorts as the third kit. They've also listed Visit Florida as the shirt sponsor.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fulham_F.C.

After looking through the Crystal Palace match photos, I'm left wondering where is the red? The only red found on all three kits is in the logo. I guess the USA is not the only team that creates uniforms that have very little association with the team colors. Can someone explain why the numbers are highlighted with gold?

I believe the number colors and font are set by the league (i.e. every team's numbers look the same).

Historically, the font has been the same but not the colors. Reading, Bolton, Blackburn & Watford (to name a few) have worn red numbers on their primary kit. Some have worn blue. The rest either black or white. The League 1 winner has worn gold numbers (as well as gold league sleeve patches). This may have been changed recently, I didn't pay attention enough last year to say for sure.

At this point, I'm starting a pool on which day this week they officially roll them out. Gotta be before Saturday, right?

The shirts HAVE to be announced within the next 24 hours. Right? Or are they going to take it up to kickoff like they did with the navy blue third shirt two years ago?

It is odd, even by our usually late standards when it comes to this stuff. We've seen the kits though. It's just the sponsorship that's in question. Guess that has to be sorted before they can start selling them? I think I'd rather buy one w/o sponsorship on it if given the option.

I doubt they would do that, but I would buy the crap out of it.

So the Visit Florida doesn't look awful. And I like the white/black socks.

Pablo, honey. Please come to Florida...

I just think the sponsor is funny - the kits/uniforms don't look bad, actually really good. Especially the shot above with no sponsor emblazoned on the chest.

    Ah, a Radiohead reference now?

Yeah, the sponsorship isn't too bad. But I can't help but think without the badges and numbers it does kinda look like tourist polo shirt.

The following GIF is Gedion Zelalem scoring a nice goal against Fulham's U21s on Friday. But it also shows what the full away kit looks like. And it is sort of weird (don't love it nor do I hate it). Sort of looks like Dortmund.

I don't understand it. For a third kit to be different colors, ok. But the home and away kits should stick to red, white, and black. Shouldn't they?

'Twas my birthday this week and someone who loves me got me this:

I really like the new kit, including the sponsor since I did some work for them and I'm a Floridian, so I was thrilled to get this.

However, as mentioned before, I'm sensitive to what is truly black. I've never thought this looked black and seeing it in person I can confirm it is not black. I know this because it doesn't look black and plus the label describes the color as "NT GREY"! I suppose that means "Night Grey".

But I'm now the proud parent of this jersey and I couldn't care if it is black, NT GREY, or any one of 50 shades of grey. This is my baby and I love it unconditionally.

Took advantage of the free shirt printing to order my Christmas present this week. It'll look a LOT like MM's two posts previous. Pretty jacked. For those of you considering, the savings ends up being around 10 sawbucks. Happy shopping!

For those of you getting the kit I've got two recommendations:
    • Follow the label and wash it inside-out
    • Remove it from the washer pronto
I didn't follow those two pieces of advice and the number on the back developed prominent white-ish creases. Fortunately they have dissipated over time, so it wasn't as bad as it originally looked. The current deal on the site is pretty good if you are thinking about ordering.
