No, Ringo played them. He just refused to do a solo, so they had him record against some tracks that were then erased.

Back when people bought records, this was -- by far -- the best album side two ever.

Been on an 80's kick lately, one of my favorite concerts during that time was Genesis. Phil Collins was the lead singer at the time (Peter Gabriel's solo stuff is great as well), but he would join Chester Thompson on a second set of drums throughout the show.

Cool, I should've known that but can always rely on the Fulham Musical Bard for clarification. It's my favorite Beatles album and a lovely send off track. Ten years ago a young Ms. Nevzter and I made sure to get photos on Abbey Road...with my shoes off.

speaking to my folks today, what did I hear in the background? I inquired if the 8-track had returned to service.

Well, they certainly do...but if for nothing else, the go-go dancers and band's dress are brilliant.

Happy Independence Day! While I really like the 1812 Overture (although I'm sad this is my last year to hear them with live cannons) this is probably my favorite 4th of July song. "Whatever happened darlin', I apologize" - know I've said that more than once.

    - Jinx? Did we separately come to the same conclusion on the most appropriate video to post for the 4th? I like the way you think.

Wow, you're right MicahMan. didn't check this out until now. Love me some X. Now, while it was a win, it was a cold shot of reality - the US must improve.

Quickest way to my heart, is not through my ever expanding stomach, but throw me some SRV, Albert King, etc. and I'm all yours.
