The boys are back at it again against another tough Euro outfit. This will be another time to experiment with different players (see HD's excellent analysis on the Denmark thread). Kind of expecting us to lose 3-1, but thought the same about the Denmark match, and the boys had the lead with 10 minutes to go in that one. Very curious if JK will sit down Rimando and give either Cropper or the kid from Leon a chance between the sticks.

To SCJ's comment, we pretty much know what Nick brings to the table at this point; he's a serviceable and quite capable back-up. I don't think his spot in the matches that matter is in question. However, I would hope to throw these other guys out there, yes, in Switzerland, and see what happens. The defense will be porous, no doubt, and this would be a good test.

All in all (is all we are), I could care less about the results as long as Der Kommissar is fulfilling a plan going forward. I don't think this match calls for "Billy Baroo."

No potty mouth towards the ref, young man. You KNOW he's gonna run you for that.

agreed. umpires, referees, etc. will almost universally allow some modicum of dissent regarding a call. say your piece, and leave. if the player stays around arguing (especially continuing to engage after the official has left the conversation), or if the protest is expletive laden, then an ejection, card, etc. is bound to happen. i speak from experience, :)

Yeah, Jozy let himself and us down. I liked what I saw from Williams, Bedoya [nothing new there], Yarborough, Bradley [although WAY out of position], Shea, and Jozy [until the red mist took over]. Chandler and Brooks did themselves little good, and The Tardis didn't do much for me either.

Almost cried watching Kasami out there. Man, we could have used him this season.

You just HAD to go there, didn't you? Was thinking the same thing when I saw the 17 shirt out there for the Swiss. Just sad....
