Apparently appeared today in the 74th minute, but could not prevent Sunderland from being whitewashed 2-0. Better than 8-0 from last outing, but I suspect Poyet's on a short leash. Then again, who isn't these days? As Mr. Hymel says, he's still on the milk carton....

Have the dvr set for Crystal Palace hosting Sunderland today, maybe Jozy gets 15-20 minutes, maybe not.

He's got 30 minutes left to get his butt off the bench. Wickham is like a statue out there. He needs to sit down.

The first goal for Sunderland was created by 3 or 4 mistakes on the same play from Hangeland, shockingly bad.

Jozy did get in, and looks like he has gained 10-15 pounds since the WC. He looked overweight and slow to me. The Black Cats scored twice to win the match while he was on the pitch, but he wasn't involved in either score. He did receive a pass at the start of stoppage time and gave it away with a horrendous pass. Not sure where he'll be in Jan. highly doubtful that it would be anything other than a loan. What club would pay anything for a striker that can't score?

EDIT: On the mess that is espnfc, Perhaps Lille on loan in Jan.

The nightmare continues. Somehow Jozy missed a sitter in their Sat. draw with Spam. Honestly think he'd miss an empty goal from a yard out at the moment.

If after all the MLS transfer-allocation nonsense dust settles and Jozy does indeed end up in Toronto, what will be his legacy? What damage has he done (if any) to future US players wanting to play in England?

He's 25, so he's still got time to write his legacy which, at the moment, is, well, I honestly don't know. Checkered? I don't think he's damaged any chance for future Yanks aspiring to play in England, although the anti-American bias there is blatantly obvious, at least to me. It's too early to give up on a 25 year old, in my opinion,

I'm seeing bias but not so much on Europe's behalf. I think a lot of our fans rate the US players a lot higher than where they really are. Sunderland paid quite a bit for Jozy's services but he failed to deliver as advertised in the Premier League. And he's done it not once but twice. He wouldn't have gotten those opportunities and contracts if there was this anti-American bias some US supporters tout.

English clubs are constantly scouting for talent in the States. If Americans fail in the England, it could be for the reasons many other players don't make it (including English players)--they just didn't work out for the club.

There are so many Americans abroad particularly in England that don't even get a mention in the media, particularly now that Klinsman is involved and bringing in Gayu, Green,Brooks,Jones etc. At the Championship level alone we have Lijach (sp?) Spector Hyndman and Holden off the top of my head. I don't think there's a bad reputation especially since its easier for the players to communicate, the ones that are over there are just going about it quietly

And there's also Tim Ream, Danny Williams, Will Packwood, Oguchi Onyewu making their living in the Championship.

Those anecdotal quotes coming fans and those in the press box the author mentions remind of what they say about Emile Heskey too.
