Forest is sitting top of the table, while Fulham has 3 less points than Huddersfield Town and currently occupies 24th place. Perhaps I need to start posting sayings that will bring hope and optimism, you know something like 'It's always darkest before the dawn' , but the only thing I can came up with is 'There is a light at the end of the tunnel...but it's an oncoming train'.

We're gonna lose....big. No matter who he puts out there. Reading was a watershed mark for me...and should be for management as well. All the momentum from Brentford and Cardiff went out the window when he made out the lineup for Reading, replacing Bettinelli with Mr. Sweatpants, Stafylidis with Kavanaugh and Smith for Woodrow, WHO WASN'T EVEN ON THE BENCH!
And even if he returns to the lineup that worked, the damage has been done.
    6-0, Forest.
    IF we're lucky.
Assuming management doesn't sack Felix before Wednesday, which doesn't appear likely, although it's a mystery to me why it isn't.

yeah, we're going to lose. Thing is, if we had 12 points now, we were still going to lose at the City Ground. It's a thang, y'all.

It's not that we will be favorites to lose on the road for me it's that in my mind there has been no movement toward this team showing a consistent level of improvement from game to game.

I believe in playing the long game so I am typically a patient individual when it comes to wanting managers of the professional sports teams I follow to have time to inbed their philosophies and game strategies into their team. Magath, however, has managed to cause me to think ten games really is too long to wait for a change. When players perform well in a struggling team and are regularly replaced this early in the season it doesn't feel like squad rotation it just feels unsettled. Thanks to the red card we will see a new starting eleven against Forest and probably a change back after that effectively robbing the team of more time to gel. It may be unfair to blame Magath for a red card but since it's his job to produce results and since he produced the multiple starting rosters in the previous matches it's not that unfair.

The only consistent thing about the Magath era to date remains that despite Magath's squad overhaul we score inconsistently and defend consistently poorly. Six games in and we've allowed 13 and scored only 3. Perhaps I am jaded at this after such a long run of poor performances but I don't see anything changing against Forest or after Forest while Magath remains in charge.

Here's to hoping Fulham performs better than my expectations.

If we had 12 points now, I'd be Sir Alexander Chapman Bloody Ferguson.

Not to mention that none of our three goals have been scored by an attacking player. Scott Parker and Tim Hoogland are defensive midfielders (or sometimes Hoogland is a fullback). There is a huge disconnect in the attacking third.

And I'm not sure that our set piece defense has improved any either.

Forest is going to win this one easily.

Another chance for Magath to show us he gets it. I say Magath & not the players b/c we demonstrate the same futile tactics regardless of who he plays. The only difference has been how bad the scoreboard looks.

Until I see some evidence of that though, I think I'll stick with not watching or listening to the disaster.

I, for one, certainly hope so.
I made the mistake of looking at the table last night.
Has anyone noticed how well Norwich is doing?
    NORWICH?
The last team we beat in the Premier League (and that I was privileged to be in attendance...in April)?
    They're second!
    Shouldn't have looked.

Well yeah they basically have the same team they did when we last won. We have a totally different team, and one that the manager won't stop fiddling with.

Also we're going to lose badly.

Said it before, I don't buy these x # of games to save your job stories. Look at Rene. If those had been true he would have been given more time after ManU & Liverpool. The decision on him was made after that abysmal Shef U match.

We'll see in the coming weeks if the decision has been made on Magath. Those articles usually mean that it has, but not always.

Would it be more of a jinx if I agree that the boys will lose badly, or if I guarantee at least one point?!

I'm gonna see if I can steal out of work briefly to buy some headphones to listen to the game on my PC. I can't seem to get the radio broadcast on my phone.

Fulham team: Kiraly; Bodurov, Hutchinson, Burn, Amorebieta; Hoogland, Parker, Fotheringham, Stafylidis; McCormack, Rodallega

And the subs: Bettinelli, Eisfeld, Roberts, G. Williams, Hyndman, David, Kavanagh

oh boy, does he just want to be fired?

Just saw today's lineup. How many defenders does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Kiraly, Hutchinson, Bodurov, Burn, Amorebieta, Hoogland, Parker, Fotheringham, Stafylidis, McCormack, Rodallega.

Still no sign of Ruiz in the 18.

We'll see how all that works.

    D'oh. But still, COYW!

Any mention of Forest makes me think of "The Damned United"

I haven't seen Amorbieta in the starting 11 all season. There's some EPL experience! Hope he's not looking for a transfer:) Might be good for an intimidating yellow card.
