    From the offal:

The Club can confirm that the following players will leave Fulham this summer following the expiry of their contracts:

    • Ryan Babel
    • Lazar Marković
    • Elijah Adebayo
    • Robert Atkinson
    • Aron Davies
    • Jose Garrido
    • Christopher Kelly
    • Scott Armsworth
    • Showkat Tahir
Furthermore, the players who were on loan during the 2018/19 season will return to their parent clubs, namely Calum Chambers, Sergio Rico, André Schürrle, Håvard Nordtveit, Luciano Vietto, and Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

    ***
No real surprises here, but there's probably 3-5 more players that'll be sold.

Good riddance. Outside of Babel and Chambers, none of these guys were worth a damn for us this season. Rico might have been, had he had a decent defense in front of him, but he made too many mistakes to balance the late season good play out.

Assuming Mitro is gone at least I know what AK-47 brings to the table. So I would want him around until we can bring in somebody better. I know Fonte isn't the answer.

I'd welcome Kamara back if he sincerely apologized for his actions and acknowledged the many ways his his behavior was detrimental to the team. If he still had an attitude about it there is no way I'd allow him back.

Our chances of earning promotion next season went up by a factor of, well, pick a bloody number. Now, if we can figure out a way to keep Sess, whom I think works extremely well off of Mitro (and vice versa), that would be ideal. But this deal cannot be understated. HUGE for us. Huge.

Fulham signed Ivan Cavaleiro from Wolves on a season long loan with the option to sign at the end of the loan.

    http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2019/july/13/ivan-cavaleiro-signs

Fulham tried unsuccessfully to sign Cavaleiro last summer and that was a slight disappointment for me. I'm even more enthusiastic to have him playing for Fulham at the Championship level.

I'm happy so far with what I've seen - primarily who who hasn't left, Mitrovic and Cairney - but this is also a good signing in my book. Now I'm mostly curious to see how things shake out with the defensive mid-field and back line.

Seems like a pretty safe signing. No complaints here.

Seri has been sent to Galatasaray on a season long loan so sing it with me!
"If Seri has a game in Constantinople, he'll be playing in Istanbul!"

Fun fact: I did not know this rendition was a cover until today. Sorry The Four Lads, your version kind of sucks.

Elsewhere in Fulham World, I see references to Sess the First leaving the club. I know that his brother started today [good to see] but both are on the official website. What's the story?

Latest seems to indicate a deal will come with Tottenham this coming week: https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...ulham-Mauricio-Pochettino-Scott-Parker-latest

Of course everything in the British press related to football has to be taken with a grain of salt, but EVERYONE seems to be saying he's going to Tottenham for 25 million. Given that he hasn't played in any friendlies since playing for the U21 team back in mid-June, I have to think that Fulham is just keeping him uninjured for the inevitable transfer. If I had to guess, Fulham will only have one Sessegnon on the roster this time next week.

And just to note: two weeks until the season opens!

Fulham has signed Anthony Knockaert on a season long loan from Brighton and Hove with the option for a permanent transfer.

I think Fulham is looking good on the attacking end. I'd surely like to see some improvements on the defensive side now.

I’ve always liked Knockaert, although I think he’s strictly a Championship level talent. He’s a competitor, will get you timely goals and plays hard...sometimes to the point of earning a red card or two. Very much agree with previous sentiments about improving the defense, the obvious problem last season that didn’t get better as the campaign went along.

I'm excited about the Knockaert signing. He has got some swagger, eh? Stepping up to take and then dropping in that free kick. The highlights from the Oxford game (https://www.fulhamfc.com/first-team/2019_2020/friendly/oxford-united/highlights) give you a glimpse of the confidence hes got in his ability, trying that Zidanesque volley from 25 yards out for example.
How will he fit in with Mitro? Kamara? McDonald? Either way, great to see a player who has proven himself successful in this league being brought in.

Why is everything a loan?!?! The team can’t be so dependent on loans. Haven’t they learned anything?

Cavaleiro, Seri, Knockaert, and now Anguissa. All loans.

I'd just like to point out that we are now at "this time next week" and the first part of that statement has proven to be more true than the last. Still two Sessegnons on the roster - just not in the lineup.
