I love all of these goals, even the ones I'd never seen. With a couple of obvious exceptions, I could almost throw them up in the air and pick them up one at a time to decide the order.

I have to say though, that Konchesky goal has to be higher than 14 or 15 or whatever it was. To borrow a baseball term, that ball was an absolute "pea" coming in on that keeper. What a rocket!

I used to love watching Diop too, mainly for this goal- as it was one of my first conscious memories as a Fulham fan. I was studying abroad in London and watching the match on the top floor of a very mediocre pub down the street from the Earls Court Road tube station with a bunch of kids from my study abroad group- most of them were either Chelsea fans or didn't care about soccer. I remember feeling relieved and that we were lucky to only be down a goal at the break and then just going nuts when Diop's goal went in while everyone stared at me as if I was from another planet. Good times.

Also, while I love this list and don't know what I'd leave it- I was a little disappointed that Dempsey's first goal against Liverpool didn't make the cut. It wasn't technically a great goal, but it was pretty significant as it was the goal that officially kept us up in '07, his first for the club and a rare win over Liverpool (for that matter, his long range dipping volley against Stoke in '09-10 could've easily made the list as well). That Harley goal was incredible, I'd also never heard of the guy and even though it was less than a decade ago, Fulham before 2004 (i.e. before I became a supporter) seems like a lifetime ago (I suppose also in ambitions, I never imagined we'd be competing in Europe back then). It was pretty cool to not only see some goals that I'll never forget seeing, but some I'd never seen before.

Also, I'm digging the montage:

Would love for the club to go back in the archives and put out 20 Great Goals before the Prem era. As far as this list goes I would probably have not included one of the Ruiz chips and the AJ volley and maybe included 2 of the following; Gera's missile at Citeh, Clint's fantastic strike at Stoke, Jimmy Bullard's all important match winning free kick against Villa, McBride's winning header after his long injury layoff against Everton, or his header against Birmingham City in the final home match of the Great Escape.

Pre- prem goals would be awesome - I wonder about the technology to dig 'em up, but I'd be happy with what is available to see.

Good calls - McBride's header against Brum caused a spike of joy, I had sworn to not check internet, etc. b/c I was taping the match and wanted to watch it "clean" while I was in the "country," however, I read it on a text message from a friend after it happened and couldn't believe it at the time - would have to go with that one (he laid out and a brilliant strike, including my despair at the club staying up at the time means so much more) - even Bullard's free kick (I forget about that one, but I lost my mind when he hit that).

I was about 20 yards away from that goal. In fact, my view was completely blocked by the keeper/defender and just saw the ball coming through into the back of the net towards me. I had to watch the replay to understand how great a goal it was. Although I don't think I could have elevated my celebrations any higher than they were even if I had known how Gera put it in.

The greatest single sports moment I ever witnessed live. Period. I don't even remember him running behind the goal as I was deleriously hugging any one with in arms reach while repeatedly shouting at the top of my lungs, " Dempsey!". Opps, just got goose pimples.

I remember thinking as I was going through these, when is there going to be a McBride goal? Did he have none that were that memorable to others? How is that possible?
