As a guy who grew up on Memphis sound, there's only three necessary instruments in a band: 2 guitars and a Hammond B.. Drummer's a good thing but if he's out sick or with the DT's - Wing It!
Hi this is Clevelandmo checkin' in and spinning some tunes for you just before midnight here on the north coast. Here's a little tune to take you back and at the same time fast forward you to the doom awaiting the US national team under a misguided kraut who pretends to be enlightened.
Ominously, one of the guys who died was from Bradenton, FL
Germany's national team with the Village People? I guess David Hasselhoff wasn't available.

Gotta have that backbeat, 'fog, in my opinion. But, the organ always adds a fantastic layer. In fact, just loaded my grandma's old Hammond B into my cousin's pickup to move to his studio - damn, that thing was heavy. Been on a Stax kick lately, well, you know why.

Is this the blues I'm singing?

Been on a late spring cleaning mission, since there is no more Fulham to watch, and ran into my old CDs. Noticed this band in my collection, Fun band to listen to while clearing out junk!
BTW, I really enjoy the fact that we no longer have to buy any physical items to watch movies or listen to music. Makes moving and cleaning so much easier.

"Easier"?? Huh! -- those of us old farts who refuse to let go (there is a difference in sound quality) of our records have to brave the possibility of a hernia. On second thought, putting everything on digital doesn't sound like a bad idea . . .
My theme for next season - Reasons to be cheerful: Trotta, Briggs, Frei, Stockdale . . . (and to praying that there's not an exodus of Dempsey and Dembele!)

I still have the discs. I am not bothered by the difference in sound of MP3s or picture quality for movies(especially for movies since I have a receiver that upscales the picture to 1080p regardless of source). I am just wondering what in world I should do with my VHS tapes. I have been researching this issue for bit on the internet. Seems I just can't just dump 'em in the trash. Sigh.
