This is who I would call, but I'm sure there are not enough Germans in that list for der fuhrer

    GK: Howard, Rimando
Defenders: Boca, Gooch, 'dolo, Whitbread (I think he's healthy), Lichaj, Chandler, Spector
MF: Edu, Bradley, Donovan, Dempsey, Holden, Kljestan, F. Johnson, Beasley, Shea, Adu
F: Altidore, Agudelo (if healthy), Gomez

I dont have Jones in there because of the combination of his age and not having been through CONCACAF qualifiers the # of times our other older players have.

Did you guys know Jonathan Spector's granddad is the original Boston Celtic, the first player they ever signed. Cool

Does he have to name the same squad for WC qualifiers, or can he make changes between Canada and Antigua/Barbuda?

He'll probably call all the players he intends to use in the qualifiers, though some may be released before then.

    My guess on his picks:

GOALKEEPERS : Tim Howard, Brad Guzan, Nick Rimando
DEFENDERS: Carlos Bocanegra, Geoff Cameron, Timmy Chandler, Steve Cherundolo, Clarence Goodson, Oguchi Onyewu, Jonathan Spector
MIDFIELDERS: Michael Bradley, Maurice Edu, Fabian Johnson, Jermaine Jones, Jose Torres, Brek Shea, Danny Williams
FORWARDS: Jozy Altidore, Edson Buddle, Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan, Hercules Gomez

Not sure Agudelo will be ready to play Internationals by then. Holden hasn't seen any game time in a long time, so I'll be surprised if he's called into camp.

Where's Tim Ream in all this? He's a starting CB in the Premier League.

As for Holden, I'm not sure why he'd pick a guy that hasn't kicked a ball in 6 or 7 months.

The question is, with World Cup Qualifiers coming up, why are we scheduling friendlies?

Money as Nevzster said but hopefully also for Klinsmann to figure out how to win a game.

Klinsmann will undoubtedly pick Ream but I think that's a mistake. He's struggled in the premier league and frankly has always struggled. Whitbread, Goodsen, and Gonzalez (once he's back) are better. Heck bring in Demerit.

Holden has to be at least training with the team even he is not match ready. Just my opinion

Why isn't Whitbread in any teams called up so far? From what I've watched of Norwich, he has been a solid player for them.

From everything I have seen so far, including seeing last week's Bolton-Tottenham game in person, Ream has played decent and not much struggling since making the move to England (Sky Sports ratings for his last three games: 6, 7, 7). And I say that as someone who thought he was going to struggle a lot and barely get to play.

If Klinsmann goes by those recent performances Sacha and Ream have given the USMNT, I doubt they get called in. However, if he goes by their club performances they have a shot. Still think Ream needs some more time before being called in again.

BTW...it looks like the camp roster will be named on two different days. Euro players on 5/15 and MLS players on 5/20.

If they are attempting to sell tickets at full prices against Antigua (is that a country or a men's cologne?) they deserve to get an empty stadium. This game should be played in Kansas City or Houston or Portland where there will be a full house, not some hollow NFL stadium that'll will be like a library.

Still no official roster yet. But according to twitter; Terrance Boyd, Castillo, Beckerman, and Rimando will be at the camp.

And Timmy Chandler will not be there. :?
