A blast from the past at #7. 20 year old Collins John with his best goal from the 05-06 season, the kid had 11 goals that year. Who knew his career was going to peak at that age. He seemingly forgot the offside rule after that and basically has bounced around the world and lost the ability to score goals. 5 tallies (3 in Chicago) w/7 different teams in the last 5 years. That said, there is some serious skill on this one.

#6 Super Simon Davies from the Captain. Great football leading up to the pass from Demps and Etuhu (a player who always wore the badge w/class and someone I'll miss). Love everything about this goal, and the boy standing in anticipation before the rest of the supporters was memorable.

Don't believe that Etuhu was axed, SCJ. I'll be sorry to see him go as well.

Ahead of myself on his departure HD (assumed he won't be at Motspur on Sept. 1st) I'm w/you on his contribution to the club, so underrated, I wonder why???

I don't think he has left yet, but the rumors are that he will be gone next year. It will definitely be a different team out there next year with all the departures.

Clocking in at #5 is Kamara's match winner at Citeh. From relegated at halftime and down 2 goals, to the miracle comeback and a life line. What a pass from the captain, and what a finish.

The #4 entry is an absolute cracker from Papa Bouba Diop that earned a point against ManU back in the 04/05 season. The replay of the shot from behind really shows how much swerve he put on it. Add in Papa's celebratory run to The Cottage and Gentleman Jim's joy in calling it and you can't watch it just once.

Great strike - I forget how much I liked to see Diop play back then, and not that he was the greatest, he was fun to watch (all flaws included) in my book. Didn't some Euro rock band name a song after him?

Totally forgot about that Nev, I found it on youtube, but it was buffering so I didn't bother to link it. Youtube 'Papa Bouba Diop Song' and it accompanies some of his highlights (they run out of video and just put pics in at the 2 minute mark  ). For the life of me how it wasn't a #1 single I'll never know

The #3 goal is one that I've never seen, by a player I've never heard of from 2003. Jon Harley only started 6 games in his Fulham career, and scored only once, but what a goal it is from the LB (who is still playing for Notts County). This was from Loftus Road against Aston Villa and you can certainly see why this was so high on the list.

#2 Needs no introduction. The Captain

Man, that was even further out than Diop's. Again, just nasty tailing movement. 99.999% of those seem to go well over the crossbar. Or take a couple of bounces on their way into the keepers arms. That thing looked like a wiffle ball screw ball or something. I wouldn't have been too upset if I'd been the keeper on that one.
