I agree with this tweet that I read earlier:

"The @LFC posting a story that we have made Dempsey inquiry probably means both player and club want to do a deal but Fulham not playing ball"

I can see why 'pool is interested; and I can even see how it could be a bit of good business for Fulham. What I don't see is why Dempsey would want to go there. Assuming, of course, that we take him at his word...that it's all about the Champions League.

I have to wonder how much Liverpool are willing to pay. This is a minor step up at best. Liverpool would be lucky to finish in the top six next year even with him. He must be in for quite the payday. Hopefully it gets resolved soon so we can move on.

Nope - Sir Alex to swoop in and disrupt it all

can we just get something done already? in the twitter age with everyday updates, it's tough to be patient when you read about it everyday. stay or go, lets figure this thing out.

Let's hope one or both parties realize you can only wait so long for the best offer. If you wait until the deadline I think you're asking for trouble :character-oldtimer:

I agree that something needs to be done. Bring in Adam and sell Dempsey. Offer Dembele a contract and if he doesn't accept it then sell him for the most you can get. At this point, I don't care what happens. We are nearly at the start of the season and should have our core ready to go. If they aren't a part of it then hurry up and sell. I don't want to go into the season and then sell them both and have to totally change the way we play a couple of games in.

The market for a 29 year old w/one year left on his deal isn't exactly in the 10-12 million range is it? We haven't heard anything about the Gooners interest in a long time, so if there is only one team bidding for him we can expect getting about half of what we want. The waiting game is brutal..and it's still July :angry-banghead:
